Kid’s Book Revisions has been a longtime collaboration between esteemed children’s book editors, Eileen Robinson and Harold Underdown. In March 2026 it was announced that Kid’s Book Revisions is reinventing with a renewed mission and a new partner–and to reflect that, a new name: Kid’s Book Revisions Plus:

Our mission: We share revision techniques that work via online workshops and retreats, help writers with their revisions, and provide places where we can all discuss “the work.” PLUS, we will now be offering other online writing-related workshops, panel discussions, and a weekly/biweekly “hangout” session in which we will chat, answer a revision question, dissect a revision problem, and anything else related to revision we can think of.
The team: Eileen Robinson and Harold Underdown. PLUS, longtime editor and consultant Emma D. Dryden is joining us, increasing the range of what we can do, and helping us have more fun doing it.
Known for being honest, direct, friendly, and compassionate, we three have stellar reputations in the children’s book field, with over 100 years of editorial experience between us. After years working in publishing houses large and small, we are highly sought-after editorial consultants, supporting and guiding hundreds of authors at all stages of their careers.
What makes our new Kid’s Book Revisions Plus collaboration unique is that we have known each other our entire careers–we’re friends as much as we are colleagues. Teaching together, we bring not only professionalism and passion for children’s book creation, but an infectious sense of camaraderie, fun, easy interaction, and relatability, which puts our students at ease.
We all love the work we do helping authors deepen their craft to create their strongest manuscripts possible. To us it’s not purely work–it’s fun, it’s gratifying, it’s exciting. And that’s exactly what we hope authors will feel, whether in consultation with us, joining in one of our online workshops, or joining our online hangouts talking about revision.
